Music: 5 best Celt-punks

When it comes to punk music, when i heard some bag-pipe and a hard drum beat i am hooked. If they have a fiddle, even better. We live in a great time for music. Now more than ever finding new bands is easier than before. Here are our top 5 celt punks.

5. Dropkick Murphy’s

One of the best know Celt Punk bands. It helps name recognition when you have a song in the Departed and a scene with Leo DiCaprio working out to your song. Founded in 1996. They have been signed to both the awesome Hellcat records (rancid) and Epitaph.

As of album ten, 2021, they are still releasing music on their own label.

4. Flogging Molly

Flogging molly are a little more gentle and soulful. I like it. Founded in 1997 they are an irish-american band and signed to their own label.

3. The RumJacks

The Rumjacks formed in Sydney, Australia, in 2008.]Known for their loud and energetic live shows, the band have released four studio albums, two live albums, and a series of EPs and singles. They are great and i thank Spotify for suggesting them.

2. The Ramschackle Army

Founded in Melbourne Australia and named after a failed rebellion. Ramshackle are awesome. One of the most under-rated bands of this genre.

  1. The Real Mckenzies

The first Celt punk band i ever heard was “mainland” by these guys on a Fat Wreck-cords samplers in about 1996. I think they have been my favourite band since.
